The General and Minimally Invasive Surgery Unit carries out outpatient, day surgery and ordinary hospitalization procedures in the field of laparotomy and laparoscopic surgery. The main interest of the operator and the team is gastro-intestinal oncological pathology. and their approach with laparoscopic technique, where applicable, respecting the radical and aesthetic oncological therapeutic result for the patient. The team boasts considerable experience in the field of laparoscopic resection of the colon, rectum and lower rectum as well as the laparoscopic treatment of cholecyst-choledocytic lithiasis in elective and emergency conditions.
U.O. equipment:
We are among the first in Europe to use 4k laparoscopic technology which guarantees excellent image definition. In recent months we have equipped ourselves with a 3D laparoscopic column with airseal device for the optimization of endo-abdominal CO2 pressures, very useful in major operations and in patients at cardio-respiratory risk.
